I have always had an interest in photography from my A Level art where I was inspired by my teacher who encouraged me to use photography in my coursework.
Later in life I became more focused on my teaching career and my attention went as life got in the way. However, It was not until I purchased an iPhone that I began to take an interest in photography once more and was later encouraged by friends to purchase a DSLR camera.
I love going out for long walks and I often take my camera with me. I came across the Shipley Camera Club through a member of the Telegraph and Argus Camera Club.
Since joining the club I have felt very welcome and have been inspired by fellow members and also have taken part in a couple of events such as the light painting where I gained a greater understanding of my camera’s functions.
