A brief message from the club's founder, Andrew Holland, on how the club was formed, the club's ethos and vision.
I came up with the idea of a local camera club a few years ago after talking it over with my wife.  I really wanted to create an environment for photographers of all ages and abilities to talk freely
about this wonderful hobby and to learn from each other.
I strongly believe that there is no person alive who can 100% say they know everything there is to
know about photography. There may be people who excel in their own fields and are very hard to emulate but are they as competent in all styles? - I genuinely think not.
This is where our club comes in.
We have a wide variety of members from the total novice to those who have been keen or professional for many years in a whole variety of photographic styles.  By bringing all these people together we have found the perfect match for a club.
As well as having a vast knowledge pool which all our members are more than happy to share, we also pride ourselves on our code of conduct which ensures all our members are protected from any form of abuse or bullying.
If you think you thought camera clubs were old fashioned, boring and a bit outdated.... think again
and welcome to the best camera club in the world (as voted by our members) - The Shipley Camera Club (SCC).
